The Windows version of Besiege is slightly different to the console version and does feature an unobtainable achievement, so you may want to avoid that one if you haven't started it already.10 more games are joining Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass over the next couple of weeks, Microsoft has revealed. Besiege Console is a quick completion that only takes four hours, you'll need around eight hours for Recompile (although it does have some achievements with chunky TA ratios), about 40 hours for Skul: The Hero Slayer, and another 15 hours for The Last Kids on Earth and the Staff of Doom. Estimates suggest completing Infernax will take between 15 and 20 hours. The Metroidvania/platformer was included in our Game of the Year 2022 voting bracket and was angling for a spot on our best games on Game Pass list. Infernax leaving Game Pass is certainly a blow. All CrossfireX achievements are for the game's free-to-play multiplayer, so you have nothing to worry about there in terms of a completion. Right off the bat, it should be noted that no achievements are tied to CrossfireX's Operation Catalyst campaign. 6/19/2023 0 Comments Waterfall project managementCollecting and documenting stakeholder requirementsġ.The waterfall methodology is typically broken into five phases. What are the typical waterfall method phases? When you have developed and optimized your processes, you’ll find that everything flows as it should. You can’t start the next phase until everything in the preceding step is completed, so strategic early planning is a must. You have to do everything right the first time and check to ensure you’re hitting the right marks.īecause of these reasons, this method is considered fairly rigid. As you might imagine, following the right steps in the right order is critical when constructing a building or manufacturing a product.Įven more important, you can’t go back and tweak the building’s foundation when you’re several steps down in the process. You will often hear this methodology mentioned in connection with software development, but it was first used in industries such as construction and manufacturing. Each phase of this plan flows into the next, hence the “waterfall” name. They gather all requirements at the beginning of the project and use this information to create a plan. When using it, teams break projects into linear, sequential steps. The waterfall methodology is often considered the traditional approach to project management. In this guide, you’ll learn what the waterfall project management methodology is, how it’s different from agile, and when it will benefit your team the most. These methodologies help you organize the work you’re doing and ensure you accomplish your tasks successfully and on time. Before you can start any project, you first have to answer the question: Which project management model are we going to use?Įven if you’ve never formally named the process your team follows to complete projects, you are likely following one of two options: waterfall and agile. 6/19/2023 0 Comments Arc aspect ratio calculatorIf checking that the calculator matches your cameras Div8 dimensions, the specifications for megapixels and aspect ratio are rounded nominal numerals which will be close, but might not compute the exact precise image size in pixels (due to rounding - camera specifications are rounded values.) If not exact, the best try the significant digits is to first enter the second option of actual sensor dimensions in pixels instead of Megapixels to compute the actual precise megapixels and aspect ratio values for your camera. It will show at least four significant digits, if applicable (fractional trailing zeros are not shown or needed). The calculator is written for megapixels (first option), but to aid seeing at least four accurate significant digits, the Image Size option was added to determine actual precise values of megapixels and aspect ratio for your camera. So the computed pixel dimensions could be just a few pixels off, but a few tenths of a percent will certainly be close enough for practical purposes. To recompute those four exact digits of pixel dimensions likely requires Megapixels and Aspect Ratio to also be four significant digits because in math, the final answer can only contain as many accurate significant digits as the least precise value computing it. Whereas megapixels and aspect ratio are rounded specifications, only two or sometimes maybe three significant digits (not totally precise). Pixel dimensions are exactly known and are typically 4 significant digits. It computes actual megapixels and Aspect Ratio with greater precision. The second option (Image Size) is provided when pixel dimensions are already known, and might be all you know with any precision.Likewise, Aspect ratio is rounded to a nominal value too, but the precise actual value is image width / height, in pixels. The camera specifications round off megapixels, but the precise value is image width × height in pixels. And then actual camera sensors typically round to multiples of 8 pixels (evenly divisible by 8). Adding or Subtracting one pixel to width or height can be thousands of pixels in the other dimension, so the rounded result necessarily can affect the megapixel total somewhat. Since images cannot be dimensioned in fractions of pixels, the result rounded to whole numbers is then shown (in green). Calculated pixel dimensions (in gray text) are excessively shown out to a few decimal places (even if pixels cannot have fractions), to show that the megapixels come out exact, matching the same as entered. The first option (Megapixels) calculation is the regular option. There are two calculator options, and the results for each case are: But pixel dimensions of images cropped or resampled in your editor have low odds to be evenly divisible by 8 (which still works). Image pixel dimensions created by the actual camera are optimally Div8, however specifications for megapixels or aspect ratio are rounded. But resampled or cropped images might have any dimensions, likely Not divisible by 8.ĭiv8 - Images resized in photo editors can be any dimensions, but camera sensors actually use pixel dimensions which are evenly divisible by 8, no doubt to match the JPG 8x8 compression blocks (I'll call that value Div8 here). Cameras create pixel dimensions that are evenly divisible by 8 (I will call it Div8, and is only size shown if already Div8 is specified). One pixel difference of width might affect a few thousand rows of height.ģ. So dimensions are also rounded to whole pixels, necessary for real pixels, but which changes megapixels a little. Aspect Ratio can be entered in formats such as 1.3333 or as 4:3Ģ. Exact computed dimensions (matches specified megapixels exactly, even if pixels cannot be fractional). Three values of pixel dimensions may be shown, in the order of:ġ. Your results will come out closer if entering your actual real numbers instead of the rounded camera specifications.īut there are ifs and buts about everything, so this is trying to explain why the result megapixels may not exactly match your camera's specified megapixels. Megapixels use the conventional 1K = 1000, and NOT the 1K = 1024 used by memory chips.Īspect Ratio is exactly computed by image dimensions in pixels, Aspect Ratio = Width / Height. Megapixels are exactly computed by image dimensions in pixels, megapixels = Width × Height. The calculator will show the precise format, as like 1.3315:1 format. Aspect ratio 4:3 is 4/3 = 1.333, which can be entered here as:Ĥ:3 or 1.333:1 or 1.333, or as 1.338 if and when more precise. 6/19/2023 0 Comments Software that uses minispillageIt’s a hybrid synth allowing subtractive synthesis as well as wavetable and FM. RTDs are used in a variety of industrial applications, including temperature measurement and control in industrial processes, environmental monitoring, and laboratory research. Coiled-element RTDs consist of a length of wire wound in a spiral around a ceramic or glass core, which provides a greater surface area for heat transfer. Wire-wound RTDs consist of a length of wire wound around a ceramic or glass core, while thin-film RTDs use a thin layer of metal deposited on a ceramic substrate. The most common types are wire-wound, thin-film, and coiled-element RTDs. RTDs are available in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit different applications. RTDs can measure temperatures ranging from -200☌ to over 1000☌, depending on the material and construction of the sensor. They are also very reliable and have a long service life, making them ideal for use in harsh industrial environments. RTDs are highly accurate and have excellent stability over a wide temperature range. The equation takes into account the temperature coefficient of resistance, which is the rate of change of resistance per degree of temperature change. This relationship is expressed by the Callendar-Van Dusen equation, which is a standard equation used to calculate the temperature from the measured resistance of an RTD. The resistance of an RTD increases with temperature, following a predictable linear relationship. Platinum is the most widely used material due to its excellent stability, accuracy, and linearity. The most commonly used materials for RTDs are platinum, nickel, and copper. It consists of a length of wire made of a pure metal or alloy that changes its resistance as the temperature changes. RTDs are commonly used in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and power generation, where precise temperature measurements are essential for maintaining safe and efficient operations.Īn RTD works on the principle of electrical resistance. RTD stands for Resistance Temperature Detector, which is a type of temperature sensor used to measure temperature in various industrial applications. 6/19/2023 0 Comments Amazon charged me twiceTesla's solution is to replace the entire traction pack at a great expense," the suit quotes Hybrid ReVolt as alleging. Her second body sure has an Elsenova looking head (tendrils), and she is now set on going to Sudra. I’m also curious as to why specific parts of the overworld map appear unstable, as though the breach is threatening to invade the real world - and given I’ve only played the first three hours of what is apparently a fifteen hour game, I’ve no doubt there are still plenty of secrets left to uncover in what is shaping up to be yet another absorbing Metroidvania.I just beat the game for the first time (only 75% items and 91% map, so probably missed the golden end if it's like AV1).Īt the end, Indra renounces her old identity, saying she's "something else." And she just happens to join forces with an Eastern European transhumanist. I’m absolutely not going to spoil it here, but let’s just say that it could have a transformative influence on exploration and I’m extremely keen to see where it leads. How important the hacking becomes to the core Axiom Verge 2 experience remains to be seen, however there was one surprise power-up that I was awarded right at the end of my hands-on that could well have a significant impact. Using infection powers to hack enemies and objects also brings an interesting twist to Axiom Verge 2’s combat giving Indra the ability to slow down the movement speed of enemy scorpions or turn bipedal mechs into allies. Different biomes within the overworld map feel more distinct, and a compass collected earlier on indicates the direction of story objectives and hidden secrets nearby. There appears to have been a conscious effort from the developer to make Axiom Verge 2 easier to navigate than the original game. Meanwhile, as her drone inside the breach, I was firing out a grappling hook to slingshot my way up to out of reach platforms and through fragile walls, like a more manoeuvrable version of the Metroid morph ball. As Indra in the overworld, I was performing Ninja Gaiden-style slash attacks with a pickaxe and using a shockwave ability to blast open hidden pathways in the terrain. There’s also a noticeable adjustment to gameplay. Aside from the structural differences, there’s also a clear contrast in the look and feel of each world to make them seem distinct, not unlike the shifts between 8-bit and 16-bit time periods in The Messenger. Phasing in and out of the breach feels a bit like moving between the light and dark worlds of Zelda: A Link to the Past, in the sense that you can use one side of the divide to find a path to an objective that’s otherwise blocked in the other. Initially they just seem like small self-contained areas that you can infiltrate, hunt around in for skill upgrades and then beam back out of, but over the course of Axiom Verge 2’s first three hours it soon became clear that each pocket of the breach is actually connected, forming a single sprawling space running adjacent to the main overworld. These breach gates can be found peppered around Axiom Verge 2’s overworld map. 6/19/2023 0 Comments Edit lists in twitterrificThis feed is accessible on the web at /, or (typically) by tapping your account’s name or icon in an app. The tweets you post are displayed on your profile page, in reverse chronological order. But despite having over 300 million active users, and more than half a billion tweets being sent via the service every day, Twitter can baffle those not yet immersed. Usernames, hashtags and tweets routinely appear on websites, on TV shows, and in print. Of late, Twitter has gained a certain mainstream acceptance. Should we start thinking about how to tweak #OpenAPI so that it becomes AI-friendly? How do you design an API when your consumer is an AI? It feels like this could radically change the way we look at #DX. This will change many things we are discussing in the API community. I am not sure what a good word for this is, and at a very high level it is still "integration", but it feels sufficiently different to maybe warrant a new term? Instead, get ready for a world where AI services will integrate APIs in a very different way: They consume the service's description, understand how and when to use it, and then use it when necessary. That integration looks very different from your parents' integration where things were hand-coded (or low/no-code integrated) into predefined processes. So we have to learn how to "integrate" services into AI-based services. Either they will tap directly into something like OpenAI's services, or they will use services that are layered on top of them.īut neither OpenAI nor enriched services necessarily can do everything that somebody wants to do. Once I had confirmed my mod was correct (and ensured that the items which didn't pass validation were validator errors, not my errors) I uploaded without validating, and the mod was properly published and accessible. This is a known issue which was never addressed, referenced by the above link. Effectively, this means you can use the validator to check for some errors but things like "Potato" (and in my case, also "Ulmish Hospitality Dagger") will trigger the validator if your mod references those items, because the validator doesn't check for them (and possibly others) properly. The only way to workaround this is to select "no" when the mod publisher asks you if you want to validate your mod if you do validate and it fails validation, the mod won't publish and you have to start the upload over. It is still useful for checking for errors, but some of the newer items from the most recent expansion will trigger validation errors for valid entries. However, it is important to note that the validator is broken. This worked.įourth: immediately after selecting your preview image, you will be asked whether you wish to validate your mod.
